This is the big question that many shoe manufacturers in traditional systems ask themselves, given the advancement of technology that relegates artisan manufacturing and proposes industrialized options for high production and more standardized aesthetic parameters.
The origin of this trend responds to new equipment and materials that allow simplified mass production, automated and with less labor intervention. Faced with this new technological option, international fashion brands seek to participate, glimpsing the advent of futuristic designs, and developing their own proposals.
This is the case of DIOR, the French house, which has launched its WRAP models, a one-piece openwork shoe made of “Rubber Cosmo”, a highly resistant and flexible thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
The product is completed with adjustable laces for tying and aesthetic function, plus an EVA comfort insole.
