Starting from the pandemic period, where the comfort and functionality of footwear were revalued, the concept became ingrained in the consumer collective, on the verge of determining a clear supremacy of choice for flat products.
Sneakers and sports shoes were emblematic of this trend, and in line with this, a wide range of ballerinas, loafers, slip-ons, boots, ankle boots, and sneakers is predicted for this upcoming winter.
The renewal comes through new materials, lasts, colors, textures, and their combinations. Many ballerina models, for example, change their shapes with pointed or even square lasts, as well as their neckline. Loafers, in addition to the classic models, incorporate more elaborate soles and thicker soles. The same happens with lace-up shoes, which in the traditional Derby style, feature new soles and materials.
Among these latter ones, in addition to leathers, especially in "warm" finishes like suede and nubuck, there will be a significant participation of textiles, fabrics, skins, and various synthetics.
Nevertheless, high-profile styles, with heels and platforms, remain relevant for specific footwear in the fashion segment, as in the case of luxurious Louis XV designs for special occasions.
