From Italy: Spring-Summer 2022/23 Preview

The season that in the southern hemisphere begins in September 2022 and ends in March 2023, will be a festival of colors, fashion will be fun, exaggerated, showy and bold.

The Y2K trend that mixes elements of pop culture with technological details from the early 2000s, and combines futuristic details with retro inspirations, will be among us, and will be appreciated in many footwear designs.

The colors are disruptive through a palette of fluorescent tones: neon yellow, acid green, electric blue and fuchsia pink. The alternative is pastel tones, and the novelty of Spring-Summer 2022/23 will be the trend to bright textures of satin, or coexistence with the romanticism of cowboy fashion -cowgirl-, with a lot of rouches and lace, typical of 20 years ago.

Moderation is not accepted, a certain “free” spirit permeates and seems to be dedicated to a young and even adolescent audience. Thus come to life the first years two thousand, even with the appearance of accessories in slides, sandals and moccasins with thick platforms, which are mixed with the lean silhouettes of the late 90s.

Spring-Summer 2022/23 rewards comfort thanks to flat platforms and wide heels, ballerinas and avant-garde sports sneakers. Elegance is expressed in opened heels models and luxurious sandals, with a mix between classic and showy appliqués, chunky designs and bright colors, without forgetting good combinations. There are forecasts for the return of gladiator sandals and leopard prints, with a sensuality that reminds us of cuissardes boots.

Next summer will offer us elegant designs and new colors, where the predominance of flats soles can be seen.

• Flat sandals, with flat platform soles.

• Bulky wedges and platforms in bright colors and metallic details.

• Moccasins with thick soles.

• Wide variety of mules -opened heels- flat or with heels, for an elegant style. Sometimes with square toe-end and in strong colors.

• The Sporty Chic style will be consolidated, thanks to the abundant proposal of sports shoes with luxury details and exclusive touches.

• Metallic heels with 3D textures, or in Plexiglas with reptile leather effects.

• Elegant satin sandals and models enriched with tacks.

• Among the semi-open models, slingback will dominate the trend.

• Asymmetric uppers will add a more sophisticated touch and straps return to enhance the ankle.

• Red and fuchsia colors will have great power of seduction, without giving up the more traditional tones.
