Will the chunky trend continue next winter?

Designs

Research and aesthetic work are intensified based on obtaining differentiated models that satisfy a consumer with increasing fashion requirements.
Towards him point designers and brands, to conquer it.
For the next Fall Winter 2020, within a proposal marked by the diversity and confluence of styles, the sneaker phenomenon is consolidated in the footwear offer.
Volume, without being exaggerated, will be the most relevant concept in designs. Especially in soles, which will present a wide variety of moldings, colors and textures.
In turn, matched by very complex uppers and made with different materials and accessories.
The trend of dad, ugly and chunky shoe: old, ugly and chunky shoes redouble the bet in a disruptive style that explores different sources of inspiration to achieve unique and unrepeatable products. Thus, hybrids and restyled appear with characteristics of originality and elegance.
For the rest, an infinite range of boots and booties, in medium heights, with good volume soles and profiled cuts to the leg, promise to monopolize preferences. Inspired by the typical Chelsea, motorcycle, retro or western, they become indispensable for next winter.

Materials

Opaque, smooth and printed finishes, such as suede, nubucks, old cloths, velvets, corduroy, tartans, tweeds and various textiles will be the most used. The "animal print" will be omnipresent in most part of the collections.
The contribution of shine will be in charge of patent-leather, metallic, glitters and reptiles of careful elaboration, often scaled and in duotone.
There will also be surfaces with geometric, floral, decorative and three-dimensional textures, with placement of transfers that add visual richness. As a complement, it offers a wide variety of skins and furs such as corduroy, foxes and minks for appliques.
Textiles, through a remarkable technological and aesthetic development, have managed to increase their presence in the footwear production, especially for their greater functionality and versatility in use. A reference of this current, are the woven uppers that exponentially increased their participation.
On the other hand, embroidered materials and brocatelle provide suggestive motifs for oriental upholstery, while "technological" fabrics provide new alternatives for use in footwear. Canvases, thin canvases, nets, double fronts, neoprene and microfibers, are some of them. The so-called "smart" with thermal, salubrity and chromatic functions, will offer greater comfort for users.

Soles

The use of new systems and lighter materials for soles manufacture, has allowed to fulfill with the trend and develop a bulky and low weight modeling.
The aesthetic references are the ugly and chunky lines, which propose soles with multiple moldings and colors. Although its greatest use is in sneakers, its influence extends to all casual, sports and luxury segments. Thus, many soles designs have an almost sculptural aesthetic treatment, which plays with harmonizing volumes and shapes for their best highlight.
Beyond the mentioned style, other more sober volume soles are offered, where a minimalist and futuristic criterion is applied, with purer and simpler lines.
Booties and boots soles maintain a classic conception, although they add thickness and tractor and toothed profiles, maintaining the “heavy” aspect of the trend.
Soles with bands, due to their versatility, increase their presence in different product lines.
For high women's shoes, in addition to the traditional Louis XV heels, the appearance of more bulky models is ratified, with new shapes and finishes. The purpose is to add aesthetic value to the heels through original linings, paints and appliques.

Colors

The color proposal for the Autumn-Winter season, in addition to the eternal black, is more receptive to the incorporation of new intense and deep tones, which give greater dynamism and movement to the daily visual. The appearance of prints and motifs in the materials, generates combinations of colors that break the apathetic plain and homogeneous surfaces. Thus, winter shows more vital and stimulating.
In the whole of the palette the presence of reddish and yellow pigmentations on classic tones is noticed, generating a series of reddish browns, such as terracotta, maroon or rust.
Or the browns, coconut and cinnamon.
A frequently used formula is combinations of black, white and brown, very safe and effective. Metal finishes also highlight oranges, ochres and greens, along with indigo and Persian blues, which add elegance to the compositions.
On the pastel-colored side, light and soft beige -vanilla and cream-brighten a traditionally dark season. Within the same current, dove gray, peach, baby blue, sky, light pink and lavender stand out.
The purple and orchid violets are left for last, which together with the passionate reds, add sensuality and intensity.
