Having been classics for many seasons, animal print materials and patterns are entering a new phase of visual reconfiguration. Beyond the traditional images of leopards, tigers, giraffes, cows, and zebras -excluding reptiles- that have typically been descriptive, the upcoming winter season proposes a new, more stylized and imaginative look.
The aesthetic approach maintains the essence and spirit of these materials, while recreating unique shapes and images by altering their traditional patterns and colors. Zebra stripes are now more suggested than realistic, and their colors may vary significantly. For example, it could be leopard backgrounds in blue with black spots, or a zebra with a green background and brown stripes. Everything is aesthetically possible, as long as the identity of these materials is maintained.
