One of the most recent innovations from the Australian-American brand is the launch of an exclusive boot collection featuring outsoles made from renewable sugarcane-based EVA. The development represents a step toward sustainability, positioning itself as an ecological alternative to traditional EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) outsoles derived from petroleum.
The process replaces petroleum-based ethylene with ethylene sourced from sugarcane, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and lowering the carbon footprint.
Despite being a “bio-based” material, it does not compromise the brand’s signature wearing experience:
Lightweight: extremely light, maintaining the “walking on clouds” feel.
Cushioning: delivers the same impact absorption as conventional outsoles, making it suitable for everyday wear.
The design features the EVA wraparound outsole combined with an upper in suede and 100% recycled polyester textile, front closure, and a lining made from a blend of recycled sheep wool and plant-based Tencel™. It also includes a removable cushioned insole.
