On the part of BICONTINENTAR, with an industrial plant in Chivilcoy, they announced the start-up of the eighth production line, with which they reach 400 workers, with expectations for mid-2022 to complete 12 lines in total, with 600 people. Everything is due to the expansion in demand for the brands they produce: PENALTY, DIADORA, HUSH PUPPIES, OLYMPIKUS, NEW BALANCE, JOMA, RINGO, ATHIX and soon UNDER ARMOR, among others.
In turn, the German PUMA celebrated at its plant in La Rioja, having reached the production record in 2021, of 2 million sneakers. With the incorporation of new lines, the company plans to end 2022 supplying the local market with 80% of national products, and adding 250 new jobs.
