BODDY gains ground abroad

Following its most recent export of children’s hiking booties to Guatemala, the León, Guanajuato-based factory expanded its client portfolio, which includes buyers from the United States. BODDY belongs to the SME segment, employs 40 workers, and allocates 10% of its production to exports. The recent operation was achieved through participation in business rounds organized by COFOCE (Foreign Trade Promotion Coordinator), attended by 20 international buyers and 160 suppliers, totaling sales of 70,000 pairs of industrial footwear to Central America. The differentiating factor of Mexican shoemakers, compared to Asian products, was the use of bovine leather.
