Certified tannery exports for automakers from Europe
LECOM S.A., the tannery specialized in bovine hides, located in Piquete Cue, 30 kms. north of Asunción, has an industrial plant of 32,000 m2, with the capacity to produce 3.000 hides per day, with modern Italian technology. The Gold-Rated certification on sustainability that has been granted by the LWG Environmental Stewardship Audit (UK), has allowed it to enter world markets that are very demanding with environmental care. Many of its leathers are used in seats, armrests and steering wheels of famous European vehicle brands.
Other export destinations are Asia and Mexico.
The productions include wet-blue leathers, which are subsequently semi-finished and finished by PARPELLI S.A., a company belonging to the same industrial group.
