COPPEL, the largest footwear retail chain


With a long history in its home country, the Mexican company is undertaking an ambitious expansion project in Latin America.

With projections to purchase 60 million pairs in 2023, of which 80% will be domestically sourced from Guanajuato and Jalisco, the Mexican giant of general sales department stores solidifies its position as a leader in the country and expands throughout Latin America. In addition to 1,700 points of sale within Mexico, it has 80 in Argentina, 50 in Brazil, 20 in Chile, 20 in Peru, and 10 in Colombia.

Founded in 1941 in Culiacán, Sinaloa, COPPEL employs 14,500 people, with a total revenue exceeding $13 billion in 2022. Among the brands it carries are national ones like FLEXI, YUYIN, and TROPICAN, as well as international brands including NIKE, ADIDAS, and TIMBERLAND, among others.
