The shoe production company RR SHOES, owner of the VIA UNO brand, of recognized trajectory in the local and international market, asked the justice to initiate a process of "judicial recovery", which in practice is a call to creditors to agree on a payment agreement that allows the company to rehabilitate itself operationally and financially.
The reasons invoked by company executives were the consequences caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which forced them to close the Teutônia manufacturing unit, and dismiss 800 workers from its Santo Antônio da Patrulha and Caraá plants, all located in the State from Rio Grande do Sul.
Currently, the company has been left with a team of 379 collaborators.
For the consulting firm that legally assists RR SHOES, there are certain projections for recovery. Professionals estimate that the proposed legal measure will make it possible to reorder the accounts and restart a new period of growth.
The critical context that the Brazilian footwear industry is going through was confirmed by the Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries -ABICALÇADOS- which, through a survey, evaluated the damages suffered by the sector.
