CUEROS VÉLEZ produces while caring for the environment

The installation of solar panels allows the company to significantly reduce the emission of carbon dioxide.

At its production plant in Amagá in Antioquia, near Medellín, the renowned Colombian company, producer of footwear and leather goods, has installed 922 solar panels on the roofs of its establishment. This will allow it to achieve an energy efficiency of 20% and avoid the emission of 413 tons of carbon dioxide per year. "Sustainability is part of our DNA, and we are constantly seeking new strategies to be a reference point and promote circularity in the fashion industry," said Juan Raúl Vélez, president of the company.

For its actions, CUEROS VÉLEZ has received the highest distinction from the Air Quality Pact, with the Nitrogen Plus Level distinction. It has also been awarded the sustainability seal in the AAA category by CORANTIOQUIA and the certificate in the Gold category of the Sustainable Fashion Seal awarded by CO2CERO.
