Curtiembre CBR with new owners
After being expropriated and declared of public utility by the government of La Rioja, due to the bankruptcy of its former Brazilian owners, the Nonogasta ex Yoma tannery passed into the hands of an Argentine business group led by Oscar Ghezzi, recognized for his activities in the tourism sector.
After surveying the facilities and verifying the availability of the production structure, the new owners announced that in the first months of 2022, the tannery will come into operation, and the workers will be reinstated. Until its closure, the establishment occupied about 700 workers from the place and surrounding areas.
