DESMA builds a new industrial plant

In Achim, in northern Germany, the leader industry in automation processes and manufacturing of machines and systems for footwear production, began the construction of the new manufacturing area of 12,000 m2 plus 4,500 m2 of offices, where the “ Factory of the Future” will display, said the directors.

The inauguration is scheduled for autumn 2020.

The new production building will include the warehouse and the new paint workshop, and will be responsible for preliminary and final assembly. It will also house the exhibition hall and the Innovation Center, where DESMA will test and present the latest technological developments. It is designed to adapt to the most modern LEAN production methods. "This will optimize our work processes while maintaining high quality standards and making us more flexible," said Klaus Freese, CEO of DESMA.
