Lasts with sustainable production

Recognized in the local market, Central America and the Caribbean, the Mexican last factory carries out its project with the support of its clients.
Hormas EL ÁRBOL from León, Guanajuato, with 86 years of experience in the sector, is carrying out an ambitious project for the recovery and recycling of materials for its production of lasts. They are made with 95% recovered material, and it has integrated a supply chain with large footwear factories in Mexico such as ANDREA and FLEXI. The lasts are collected, the metal accessories are removed, and they are crushed. The material obtained is subjected to a chemical process that gives it resistance and is again injected.

The factory produces 14 thousand pairs of lasts per month and 5 thousand blocks for turning that are exported to Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
