NEW BALANCE settles in Argentina and begins production in February 2023
At the end of September 2022, on his trip to the United States, the Governor of Chaco Jorge Capitanich, accompanied by the Minister of Production of his province, visited the NEW BALANCE headquarters in Boston, where they were received by company executives.
On the occasion, the possibilities offered by Argentina, and in particular the province of Chaco, for the installation of a manufacturing plant were analyzed.
As a conclusion of the meeting and negotiations, the American company decided to establish a footwear and clothing production unit in the industrial park of Puerto Tirol, associated with the Chaco company Punto Medio S.A.
The industrial structure will be located on a 4,000-square-meter property, where two production lines will be incorporated, which will initially employ 250 workers.
Immediately, the call for candidates for the job offer is made, to then carry out a training stage, and in February 2023 to effectively start production.
“It is an important advance in the industrial base process that the province has and that will generate favorable growth expectations. Having a global brand in Chaco is a transcendent fact and fills us with enormous satisfaction”, assured the governor after the visit to the company.
