SHEIN and TEMU platforms impact local footwear and apparel

Industrial representatives warn local authorities about the loss of billions of dollars in revenue. This online commerce, called “parcel delivery” is responsible for the entry of more than 300 thousand packages daily. These transactions benefit from being under US$ 50, exempting them from taxes and regulatory standards. SHEIN and TEMU are e-commerce websites that provide infrastructure and act as intermediaries between online customers and merchants.
