SUR CALZADOS: An alternative to knitted uppers
From Lomas del Mirador and Tablada, in the province of Buenos Aires, SUR CALZADOS operates two manufacturing plants producing uppers for various lines of footwear. Their processes include high-frequency techniques, embroidery, and screen printing on textiles, synthetics, and leather. The products compete for more convenient costs with textile uppers, offering greater design diversity and shorter manufacturing times. The uppers are delivered die-cut and ready for assembly. The production capacity is 5,000 pairs per day, thanks to the available equipment and the expertise of the workforce. Their products can be viewed on Instagram @sur.calza2.
