At present, the tannery founded in 1978, specializes in bovine soles for footwear and manufactures. 100% of the products are vegetable tanned, it has 600 workers and processes more than 3,500 hides a day. 25% of the production is destined for the local market, while the remaining 75% is exported to more than 30 countries on 5 continents.
The WYNY group was the forerunner of Mexican leather exports, and is a permanent exhibitor at trade shows in Hong Kong, the United States, Paris and Milan.
The handing over of the tray was in charge of the state governor, Diego Sinhué Rodriguez Vallejo, and the president of CICEG, Alfredo Padilla Villalpando.
