Between August 31 and September 5, 2025, Pudong, Shanghai, will host an international meeting composed of three synergistic events: ACLE, Moda China and the UITIC Congress. The articulation of these platforms, each representing different segments of the leather, footwear, and manufactured goods industry, will seek to benefit all three proposals by developing in a complementary manner.
The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE), in its 25th edition, will take place from September 3 to 5 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The fair will occupy seven halls of the venue, covering a total area of 80,500 square meters.
This year, around 1,000 exhibitors from China and abroad are expected to participate, offering the full range of supplies: hides and skins, components, synthetic materials and fabrics, chemicals, and machinery for the footwear, leather goods, apparel, and accessories sectors.
For finished leather manufacturing, China continues to import large volumes of supplies and raw materials, reinforcing ACLE’s role as an essential sourcing hub for local tanneries and producers of finished goods.
The country maintains a solid demand for quality leathers and materials, positioning it as a strategic market for the expansion plans of international suppliers, especially in the context of the tariff dispute between China and the United States.
In this regard, the competitiveness of U.S. exports has been impacted by tariff fluctuations, affecting one of the main suppliers of raw and semi-processed hides, among others. Under these conditions, Chinese companies may seek alternative sources of supply.
Held simultaneously with ACLE and in the same venue, the Moda China International Shoes, Bags & Apparel Fashion Fair 2025 will take place in halls W1 and W2, spanning 23,000 square meters. The exhibition will feature footwear, leather goods, and leather apparel.
Organized by the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), the event aims to bring together local and international brands, promote trends, highlight the sector’s identity, and encourage the exchange of national and international design.
The program will include presentations grouped under the concept “Top 10 Events”, along with special activities such as the “Moda China International Shoes, Bags & Apparel Fashion Day”.
The organizers expect to attract more than 50,000 buyers, including over 4,000 international visitors.
From August 31 to September 3, the 22nd International Technical Footwear Congress will be held, marking the second edition organized in China since 2013.
Under the slogan “Competitiveness and Sustainability in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, the congress will bring together professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge and access the latest technical advances.
In addition to academic sessions, the program will include visits to factories and institutions. The congress is organized by the International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (UITIC) and CLIA.
