The 2022 edition planned for last December was finally cancelled. In this sense, the dates were rescheduled for Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st August 2023 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre fairgrounds.
The decision was made by its organizers -China Leather Industry Association and APLF Ltd-, taking into account the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council and the epidemic control and prevention requirements of Shanghai, according to reports.
The commitment of the Chinese supplier fair to remain active over the past three years, has focused on networking initiatives, invitations to professional buyers, the planning of conferences on technology and the creation of the virtual tool for the exhibition of the products, as an addition to the face-to-face exhibition.
Next August, the participation of 600 exhibitors and a concurrence of more than 15,000 people is expected, who will learn about the latest in hides and skins; components for footwear; natural, synthetics and woven materials; accessories; machinery and technology.
Regarding the space dedicated to hides and skins, the most important in the fair, the exhibited proposals will be aimed at industries such as clothing, footwear, leather goods, furniture and automotive.
For its part, among the components and materials for footwear presented, rubber, synthetic materials for soles and uppers, and production machinery can be found, of interest to manufacturers in the sector, especially local ones and those from Southeast Asia, thanks to the importance of China in this industry.
