ANPIC in person begins, the supplier fair in Mexico

With maximum health and safety protocols, it returns in physical format, to receive national and international visitors.

A new opportunity for visitors to know live, the proposal in leathers, materials, components, accessories and technology.

After suspending two editions of ANPIC last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Association of Industrial Supply Companies of Mexico, APIMEX, is betting this year on two live fairs: ANPIC Spring-Summer and DIVEX.

The association announced that after a year of absence, finally from May 26th to 28th it will hold its traditional supply fair, emblem of the city of León and that it will bring together in Poliforum León companies that will offer their products for the sectors: leather, footwear, leather goods and textile-clothing.

At the same time, it will hold the second edition of DIVEX, this time it will be face-to-face, since last year's exhibition was held in virtual format.

The President of APIMEX, David Novoa, said that after an exhaustive analysis of the current sanitary and economic conditions, its Board of Directors considered that the realization of these events is essential for the immediate reactivation of the industrial sector that has suffered the extinction of more than 3 thousand jobs among its members.

He added that with the satisfaction of returning to their live format, they have the responsibility of implementing and maintaining all possible sanitary measures, which is why they designed a protocol that will help minimize the risks of contagion from Covid-19.

Among the measures that will be implemented will be a digital identification badge, a visitor meter that will maintain the capacity allowed by the authorities, in addition to disinfection of areas, mandatory use of face masks, temperature detectors, etc.

To ensure a healthy distance, the ANPIC stands will be more separated with wider corridors, and will also have a maximum capacity of between 3 and 16 people at a time, depending on the square meters they occupy.

180 companies from countries such as Mexico and the United States will participate in ANPIC, mainly.

The capacity will be reduced to a maximum of 1,500 visitors per day in each room, so they may have up to 6 thousand simultaneous buyers per day in the venue.

To increase business opportunities, there will be a service center for international buyers managed by COFOCE, in which 14 companies from countries such as the Dominican Republic and the United States will be installed, interested in Mexican suppliers.

To complement the experience of the visitors, ANPIC will have a conference program with specialists who will deal with topics such as: specialization and adoption of suppliers, international trade and foreign investment, digital markets, consulting, innovation and futurism, as well as fashion and consumer trends.

On the same days, DIVEX will be held, the first multisectoral business fair of intermediate goods for the industry, where, through an exhibition of suppliers from different sectors and a business meeting with national and international companies, it is intended to activate the economy and promote the productive linking through the positioning of the regional industry, promoting the reduction of imports of existing supplies in Guanajuato, promoting exports and the generation of business in the short, medium and long term.

To carry out this exhibition, APIMEX will have strategic allies such as COFOCE, INDEX Guanajuato and INDEX Nacional, to search for companies that require suppliers.

DIVEX will integrate the industries: automotive, aerospace, agro-industrial, medical, furniture, chemical, plastic, textile, hygiene and personal care.

Within the framework of DIVEX, a B2B business meeting will be held between 28 supplier companies and 23 buyers, which will have about 100 appointments on May 27th and 28th based on the supply needs of the invited buyer companies.
