ANPIC: the supplier sector and its projection to the international market

The exhibition in Mexico was ratified as the greatest reference of the local market and attracts buyers from abroad.


The 54th edition of ANPIC -the Supply Fair- was held between October 23 and 25 at the Poliforum of León, Guanajuato. The organization of the event, the Association of Industrial Suppliers Companies of Mexico (APIMEX), celebrated its 40 years of existence and the good results of the exhibition.

In this sense, the businesses carried out during the fair exceeded US $ 28 million, added to a volume of visitors higher by 10%, in relation to the same edition of 2018.

Exhibition Offer

The 1,193 stands arranged at the fairgrounds were occupied by 352 firms, which presented the trends corresponding to the Fall/Winter season for the footwear, leather, textile-clothing, leather goods, automotive, furniture and aerospace industries. Thus, the proposal covered skins, leather, textiles, synthetics, heels, laces, ironwork, soles, components and machinery.

Through the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactures (ASSINTECAL), the fair had the participation of 14 firms from Brazil.

In this edition, ANPIC was supported by the Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development of the Government of Guanajuato. This allowed that in the Hall B1 of the exhibition center new companies were present to promote business, with the exhibition of products, and oriented to the improvement of the productive chain.

Inflow of international visitors

The attendance was estimated in more than 12 thousand visitors, of which the majority came from the national territory. From abroad, they arrived from countries such as the United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, China, Peru and Colombia; while other nations were also represented, as is the case in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Australia and Japan.

In addition, in the International Buyers Program participated 24 firms from different countries, including CUEROS VÉLEZ from Colombia, NEW BALANCE from the United States, and INDUSTRIA CARICIA and ADOC from El Salvador. The program is carried out by APIMEX, together with the Foreign Trade Promotion Coordinator of the State of Guanajuato (COFOCE).

A space for business

The B2B Business Meeting managed to make 223 appointments between 82 buyers, exhibitors and APIMEX members. Thus, meetings focused on the supply for the footwear sector were held on the first day, along with a second day that included the leather-footwear, textile-clothing, metal-mechanical, furniture, plastic and chemical industries.

The event was organized by APIMEX, COFOCE, INDEX and the Chamber of Footwear Industry of the State of Guanajuato (CICEG).

The collections for the next Spring/Summer 2020 will be presented at the 55th edition of ANPIC, to be held at the Poliforum León between May 20 and 22, 2020.
