APLF ASEAN: debut in Vietnam, with future in Indonesia
APLF ASEAN made its debut in Vietnam in November 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The agenda included more than 200 business meetings, an area dedicated to updates in materials and colors for Fall-Winter 2026/27, sector-specific talks and exhibitions organized by students. Among the exhibitors were major tanneries from Spain, France and Italy, while Latin America was represented by companies from Brazil and Mexico. Numerous Asian suppliers of materials, components and chemical products, useful for manufacturing, also took part.
In the seminar program, CTC from France presented “PFAS Global Trends, New Regulations and Solutions” and addressed topics of international interest concerning chemicals used in tanning processes. In addition, the Leather and Shoes Research Institute gave a presentation on “Circular Economy and Global Recycling Standards of Vietnam’s Leather and Footwear Industry”.
In the halls, visitors toured the stands and connected with exhibitors, generating exchanges of ideas and projects.
APLF ASEAN reported that in 2026 it would move to Jakarta.
