Argentina: EFICA and EXICAL will present Spring-Summer 2023/24
Despite a fragile economic situation marked by high inflation and increasing political disputes ahead of the upcoming presidential and legislative elections, and other authorities, the Argentine footwear industry maintains a good level of activity. This is due to the per capita consumption rate of approximately 2.7 pairs per year and increased control over imports, which has prompted several international brands to produce locally.
Despite difficulties in sourcing supplies and labor shortages, Argentine factories continue to serve the domestic market. Expectations are placed on the end of the period of the current government and the beginning of the next.
To continue their activity and prepare for the commercialization of footwear for Spring-Summer 2023/24, the traditional two fairs in Buenos Aires and Cordoba have been scheduled.
It will take place on Sunday 25, Monday 26, and Tuesday 27 June 2023, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. This time, the exhibition will be held in Pavilions 2 and 3, as well as the Auditorium of the Costa Salguero Center in Buenos Aires.
Over three days, more than 200 stands will showcase the trends in fashion and design for the Spring-Summer 2023/24 season, displayed by 200 renowned brands as well as new entrepreneurs in the industry. An area will be dedicated to the luxury product sector within the exhibition space.
International buyer meetings with exhibitors will be held in the Central Hall to facilitate business deals. The project is organized by the Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CIC) of Buenos Aires -which also organizes EFICA- and the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade (AAICI).
Visitors will have access to virtual tools, such as a digital catalog, to facilitate their visit to the fair.
The promoters of EXICAL -the Chamber of the Footwear Industry of Cordoba and Santa Fe- announced that the second edition of the year will take place from July 2 to 4 at the Forja fairground in Cordoba, where the Spring-Summer 2023/24 collections in footwear and leather goods, as well as supplier proposals, will be showcased.
The fair's digital platform will remain active throughout the current season (Autumn/Winter 2023), including June. EXICAL Digital is a tool that allows exhibitors to showcase their products and receive inquiries from national and international retailers.
In its last edition in February 2023, 135 exhibiting manufacturers from all over the country participated, with an additional 30 leather goods producers and suppliers from the sector.
Due to its central geographical position, the event in Cordoba attracted buyers from all over the country.
One of the fair's characteristics is the significant participation of small and medium-sized enterprises from Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, and Cordoba, which greatly diversify the offering and expand purchasing options.
