As of the appearance of the coronavirus and in view of the prolongation of the quarantine periods, which do not allow crowds of the public, the entities representing the Argentine footwear manufacturers decided to hold both fairs virtually to give continuity to the offer of its members, especially the one destined for the Spring-Summer season.
EFICA 103 DIGITAL
Its launch was in July and widely promoted and disseminated in the sector.
In the new platform can participate manufacturers members of the entity through a virtual stand at no cost, where they exhibit their products. The system allows visitors to be redirected to the exhibitors' own sites, to make contacts and business, to manage meetings and to schedule national and international shipments.
The new tool enables buyers from all over the country and abroad to learn about the Argentine footwear proposal, on an uninterrupted schedule and without travel and travel allowance costs.
In addition to shoe manufacturers, the portal is made up of suppliers, leather goods manufacturers and children's clothing (through CAIBYN, the chamber of the children's sector).
According to statements of the CIC, the Buenos Aires Footwear Chamber, at the beginning of August had "450 stands, with more than 150 thousand interactions and 13 thousand users."
Noting that the number of visits from national merchants and from other countries, such as Spain, Italy, Norway, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Chile, Guatemala, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru and Mexico had increased.

The new contact and business tools allow the resumption of relations between manufacturers and merchants, still pending for the reactivation of consumption.
EXICAL, now online
Its organizers, the Footwear Chambers of Córdoba and Santa Fe, also resolved to use new technologies to create their virtual fair.
Shoe manufacturers from all over the country, leather goods manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and wholesalers participate in it. It started on August 11th, it is active 24 hours and extends for a period of 5 months.
It is presented as a fashion and business platform where exhibitors, visitors and buyers will be able to interact regarding the characteristics of the products, price and payment conditions, and all the necessary requirements for possible purchases.
Each exhibitor has a virtual module, where exhibits a maximum of 60 images of products, mostly from the Spring-Summer season.
The chambers that organize the event continue with an intense media campaign in the national and international market, in order to facilitate contacts and business with this new offer of Argentine footwear.

Basically it is an opportunity for the presentation of footwear for Spring-Summer. A season where sales are presumed to improve.
General considerations
The sector entities, responsible for the organization of the virtual fairs, continue to monitor the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic, depending on the health status of the general population, until there are security conditions that allow to resume the activity of the live fairs.
In the case of virtual events, all chambers recommended exhibitors and participants to maintain adequate attention and communication with visitors and interested parties. They also emphasized the good quality of the images of the products and their arrangement, since the visual factor in the virtual relationship is very relevant when making decisions.
