Brazilian fairs waiting for the evolution of the pandemic

Depending on the health situation, the organizers redefine dates and offer temporary digital options.

COUROMODA
For now digital, and returns live in January 2022

The organization of the International Footwear, Leather Goods and Fashion Accessories Fair -COUROMODA- which in pre-pandemic years held an annual edition in January, announced a set of digital actions to be carried out throughout 2021, maintaining the live exhibition scheduled for January 2022.

Thus, COUROMODA ALL YEAR began with a totally digital exhibition that took place between March 1st and 3rd, 2021, with the presentation of the Winter season and focusing on Mother's Day. During three days, 119 firms were part of the platform and 1,340 traders were registered, with a volume of 38,228 visited pages.

For the remainder of the year, the digital fair is expected to be held between June 7th and 9th, with the Summer and Father's Day proposals; followed by the High Summer exhibition and taking into account Children's Day, between August 23rd and 25th. Finally, the last virtual action will take place between November 3rd and 5th, with a Preview of COUROMODA and Christmas.

The project will have its closure in 2022, when COUROMODA is held in person. The event is scheduled for Sunday 16th, Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th January, at the Expo Center Norte of São Paulo, as reported on the fair's website.

The digital actions within COUROMODA ALL YEAR, arose as a result of consultations in the industrial and commercial sector. In this sense, the proposed dates are adapted to the time of the companies to display and dispatch orders, while also being advantageous for traders.

FRANCAL ABLAC SHOW
It resumes the live format from August 2021

In mid-April, the FRANCAL ABLAC SHOW organization kept the scheduled dates for Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th and Friday 13th August 2021, in the Yellow Pavilion of Expo Center Norte of São Paulo.

The 52nd live edition of the International Footwear and Accessories Fashion Fair will have a “modular format” and will take place under strict health protocol established by Francal Feiras.

The date set for mid-August is convenient for ABLAC and Francal Feiras -organizers of the event-, as it allows to accompany the organization of sales for the end of the year.

FRANCAL ABLAC SHOW will also be a space for participants to learn about quality specialized content and interact with the other links in the footwear chain.

FIMEC
It was definitely moved to March 2022

The International Fair for Leather, Chemical Products, Components, Machines and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries reported on the definitive cancellation of its edition in 2021, as communicated on the event's website. In this sense, the organization announced the celebration of FIMEC for the year 2022, between Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th March.

The 45th version of the Brazilian exhibition of suppliers will take place under the motto "The only one that has everything to create tomorrow" and will take place at the Fenac exhibition center in Novo Hamburgo/RS between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The decision to suspend FIMEC 2021 was endorsed by the Administrative Council and the entities of the sector. The arguments were based on the limitations in local and foreign travel, added to the difficulties at the health level, as a result of the global pandemic.

The statement released by the organizing entity stated: "We are sure that LIVE events are essential for the realization of good business and our main goal is to hold fairs that are safe and provide an excellent experience for all". However, it was also assured that the public health of Brazil was on the verge of collapse, in a complex context at the national level..

The health situation had already generated a change of dates for this year. At first, FIMEC was scheduled for March 2021 and then it was postponed to May 4th, 5th and 6th, due to the uncertainty that prevailed at that time.
