EFICA and EXICAL: Expecting winter sales
The 111th edition of EFICA will take place from Sunday, November 24 to Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The opening day will run from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the second day, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the final day.
The Centro Costa Salguero in Buenos Aires will host the event, showcasing trends for the Fall/Winter 2025 season in national footwear.
The collections will be showcased by over 200 brands in approximately 200 stands, with more than 2,000 visitors already confirmed one month before the event. These attendees are typically local and international buyers.
EFICA continues to grow, with exhibitors renewing their participation, likely accompanied by prominent local brands.
In addition, the fair will feature an exhibition offering comprising different lines of footwear for women, men and children, complemented by leather goods such as bags, handbags, belts, backpacks, and accessories, a sector that has been making its presence felt for several editions now.
The High-End sector will also be part of the exhibition, along with parallel initiatives to the commercial activities, such as raffles and awards, as announced by the Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CIC) from Buenos Aires, the organizer of EFICA.
The Argentine footwear fair will hold its first edition in 2025, from Saturday, February 1 to Monday, February 3, at its usual venue, Forja Centro de Eventos in Córdoba.
This edition will also introduce Fall/Winter 2025 collections from national manufacturers, mainly from Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, and Córdoba provinces.
The exhibition will showcase various footwear lines for women, men, and children, alongside leather goods producers and suppliers for related industries.
EXICAL will be the meeting point for the footwear sector in the center of the country, providing manufacturers and retailers with the opportunity to network and establish connections, place orders, and close deals, as well as explore trends, materials, and the latest developments in footwear designs.
The Footwear Exhibition of the Central Region has over 20 years of experience, organized by the Chamber of the Footwear Industry of Córdoba and the Chamber of the Footwear and Related Industries of the Province of Santa Fe.
Until February 2025, the EXICAL DIGITAL platform will remain active, featuring the Spring/Summer 2024-2025 collections. This tool allows users to explore individual brand stands and contact companies directly.
Both fairs will feature the participation, as exhibitors, of numerous footwear manufacturers from all over the country, aiming to kick off their first seasonal sales and restore optimism amidst a challenging period for the industry. The sector has faced declining productivity and sales due to a significant drop in demand, driven by the strong reconfiguration of government policies, aimed at “putting the economy in order.”
In this context, the sector is awaiting new measures to promote greater liquidity in the market, aiming for a swift recovery in consumption.
