FICCE 2019: Shoes, leathergoods and suppliers
The International Footwear and Components Fair of Ecuador was held between July 10th and 12th, 2019. It took place at the Exhibition Center of the city of Ambato -Tungurahua Province- and was organized by the National Chamber of Footwear ( CALTU).
In FICCE 2019, various proposals in footwear, machinery, supplies were exhibited, added to services. In addition to the commercial activity, on the second day of the show, fashion shows and presentations were held.
In this edition, 127 exhibitors were part of the event, 82% from national market. The fair had an important presence of Tungurahua businessmen, who made up 89% of the total participants and positioned themselves as leaders in the manufacture of footwear, according to Lilia Villavicencio, president of CALTU.
Among other data obtained in the survey carried out among the exhibiting firms, 37% was footwear, 36% supplies,14% machinery, 7% leather and 6% corresponded to services.
In the three days of FICCE 2019, 5,112 people visit the fair, predominantly from Ambato (70.3%), as well as Colombian, Peruvian, Mexican, Brazilian, Spanish and Czech visitors.
According to the surveys carried out, 73% of the exhibitors prefer that the fair be held in July, while 98% ratify Ambato as the venue for the event. The next version already has 95% of confirmed exhibiting firms, as confirmed by authorities of the organization.
