The 47th edition of FIMEC -International Fair of Leather, Chemicals, Components, Machines and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries- will take place from Tuesday to Thursday, at the Fenac venue, in Novo Hamburgo/RS.
The city will host the exhibition, where the events center will be the focal point for the entire leather and footwear production chain. This time, the exhibition will be developed under the concept of "Innovation, Technology and Positive Impact on the World."
The fair's organizers expect the participation of 25 states in Brazil and to surpass the 30 represented countries by visitors. In this regard, efforts were focused on ensuring even greater local and foreign attendance, as stated by its promoters. Fenac's general director, Marcio Jung, affirmed: "FIMEC 2024 is already shaping up to be the largest fair of the last 10 years in terms of exhibition space, reaching almost 14,000 m2," thus considering that this edition of the Brazilian supply fair will be one of the largest in its history.
On the second day of the fair, the CICB Sustainability Forum (Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry) will be held, where the leather industry will have access to guidance, ideas, and innovations through sector experts.
Finally, the technologies and innovations exhibited at the fair will be made visible in practice through the Concept Factory. A special area of Fenac that will include production lines, where footwear manufacturing will take place in real-time.
