FIMEC: national and international suppliers will exhibit in Brazil
From March 10 to 12, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the 44th edition of the traditional exhibition of suppliers of leather, synthetic and textile materials, components, accessories and technology for the footwear and manufactures industry will be held. The appointment will be at the FENAC pavilions in Novo Hamburgo, just 47 kms. from Porto Alegre, also in the State of Rio Grande do Sul.
In the fair they will exhibit more than 500 companies of which 26% will be of foreign origin, being the total exhibition space of 30 thousand m2.
In the last editions, FIMEC has managed to summon an average of 25 thousand visitors and it is expected to count with a similar number for this version. Within the total, approximately 70% are of local origin and the remaining 30% of Latin American countries.
Among the majority of local exhibitors, the most relevant sectors will be leather, synthetic materials, chemical products, moulding, components, accessories and machines. Among foreigners, mainly Europeans, the producers of machinery with high technology for footwear and tanneries will stand out, accompanied by suppliers of components and various supplies.
They are focused on the political and economic evolution that the main countries of the region will have, in terms of their industrial behavior. For example, the first steps of the new Argentine government are awaited, a country traditionally buyer of the Brazilian supply; meanwhile, relations with sector institutions of Colombia and Peru were strengthened to achieve a greater flow of visitors.
For the rest, in general terms about Latin America, a period of political and institutional normalization is expected to stabilize the markets.
Through intense promotional action in countries in other regions, including the East, it is probable the visit of buyers from distant areas and especially Chinese suppliers as exhibitors.

FACTORY CONCEPT
The space that shows the footwear production in real time, with the aim of presenting to the visitors the application of the technological processes and exposed products. A point of great attraction for the concurrence that takes direct contact with operators and instructors, in full activity, to know the details of shoe manufacturing.
FORUM FIMEC
It was confirmed by the approval obtained in previous editions. It is a participatory forum with the presence of distinguished national and international professionals, specialized in different subjects and areas of the leather, footwear, manufactures chain. The programming of thematic will feature the exposition of the speakers and the active participation of the public present. It will be an area for debate and discussion in the search for knowledge about new technologies, businesses and innovations.
FIMEC STUDY
The conceptual place of fashion, where proposals for new materials, components and accessories for footwear and manufactures will be exhibited. Different stylists and designers will give their vision on the next trends. Color charts, samples of materials and finished products will be displayed according to the guidelines indicated.
