FIMEC: The must-see in the sector
The 46th edition of the International Fair for Leather, Materials, Chemical Products, Components, Machinery and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries, will take place between Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th March 2023, under the slogan "New Moment. New business. The only one that has everything for the leather-footwear market”.
The FENAC exhibition center will bring together the main Brazilian and international exhibiting suppliers, including prestigious European brands, who will present their latest releases for the manufactures industries. It is also planned to receive the participation of approximately 40 exhibitors from China. Due to its history and recognition, the Novo Hamburgo fair is visited by a large number of manufacturers and businessmen from different Latin American countries, in order to update their knowledge and acquire supplies, materials and technology for manufacturing.
FIMEC will be held in Novo Hamburgo, known as the National Capital of Footwear worldwide and one of the most important municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, located in the largest footwear production hub in the country.
As in each edition, the CONCEPT FACTORY will bring together companies that supply raw materials, components and technology, which will participate in the production process in real time. There, visitors will be able to observe live and direct the different stages of footwear production, while they will be assisted by trained personnel to inform about all the required issues.
In this sense, the demonstration allows to know about the various applications of products and technology, according to its organizers.
In addition, the FIMEC FORUM will be held on March 8th, where debates will be held to promote the evolution of the market, added to updates, networking and sharing of experiences with local and foreign specialists for this purpose.
On the same day, the CICB Sustainability Forum will also take place, through the association of FIMEC and the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB).
In keeping with the sustainable approach of the fair, conferences with experts will be presented, with the aim of offering positive examples, ideas and innovations. "This makes it essential and opportune to also address this issue in relation to the leather element, which is so present in the global footwear industry and is often misunderstood by people", said the president director of FENAC -Marcio Jung-.
Another of the proposals in each edition of the fair is the FIMEC STUDIO, a space that in 2022 exhibited sustainable technology and materials, a theme to which the topic of digitization was added.
