The largest global event dedicated to fashion in footwear, will exhibit the new collections of renowned Italian and European brands in general, accompanied by companies from other origins. Among the non-Italians in Europe, the delegations of Spain and Portugal are usually the most numerous, while from Latin America, the Brazilian representation is the one with the largest number of exhibitors.
A total of approximately 1,400 exhibitors will receive 44,000 buyers, of which 60% come from abroad. Visitors from the East and the Middle East and other regions stand out, together with Europeans from different countries.
During the fair days, MICAM becomes a continuous forum of various activities.
In the program, numerous catwalks standout where the new collections of the main exhibitors are presented. These events have the massive presence of the public, because through them visitors can visualize the latest trends in footwear fashion.
Another of the points of interest are the different agendas of conferences and presentations related to training and updating, in charge of recognized professionals linked to the sector.
The set of footwear proposal that will be exhibited in MICAM will be oriented to the Autumn-Winter 2020/21 European and Northern Hemisphere season, valid for the same season 2021, in the southern hemisphere.
Definitely the greatest source of inspiration for the global manufactures industry. Due to the diversity of products and volume of the offer, it maintains its leadership as the best reference of trends.
In its last edition of October, LINEAPELLE brought together 1,300 exhibitors, of which 774 were Italian and the rest of 45 countries. Four pavilions were occupied that totaled an area of 48 thousand m2. The assistance exceeded 20 thousand people from 114 countries, among which there were 9 buyer delegations from China, Korea, France, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States and Sweden.
The proposal exhibited was made up of skins and leathers from leading Italian and European tanneries in general, together with numerous exhibitors from the East and the Middle East, Africa and America. This sector was the largest space within the fair, and as such the one that concentrated the most activity.
It was very interesting to observe the stylistic range of products exhibited for the winter season under the acronym EQ -Emotional Quotient- that represented an aesthetic loaded with creative stimuli, based on “emotional intelligence”. It was the point of balance between the speed of technological evolution and the immediacy of the human reaction. The encounter between rationality and pure instinct.
Under this concept, many exhibitors developed their samples.
In the area of soles, structurally a trend was observed for higher volumes and moldings for fashion products, while maintaining the classic profiles for soles with bands and heels. The visual was renewed with greater use of color and textures.
The new developments are obtained from the change of lighter materials and more effective manufacturing systems, which allow to offer greater performance, comfort and functionality.
On February 19, 20 and 21, simultaneously with LINEAPELLE and on the last day of MICAM, the largest international technology event for the footwear, manufactures and tannery industry will begin.
They will meet more than 350 exhibitors, mostly Italian, manufacturers of systems and machinery for the sector, which will exhibit before a concurrence of approximately 20 thousand people, from 110 countries.
It is usual at the fair, the arrival of numerous delegations from countries in the East, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa and America.
Within the manufacturers of machines for different operations of cutting, sewing and assembly of footwear, the presentation of new systems based on automation, digitization, connectivity and integration, which allow more efficient productions, is planned.
The technology for soles production will occupy a preponderant place, where leading brands of this category -MAIN GROUP, GUSBI, WINTECH, DESMA and others- will show their latest novelties.
Regarding the tannery and treatment of skins and leathers, TANNING TECH will be the specialized sector, where systems and technologies for this activity will be exhibited, complemented by a vast range of chemical products for different processes.
According to the sector experts, for the next edition of SIMAC-TANNING TECH, the presentation of more open and dynamic innovations is foreseen, where the technology of the new generation arises from relations with the most varied sectors and fields of application, which until recently time seemed distant.
Thus, chemicals, materials, treatments, management, administration, etc. they will be subject to search and research in their different areas simultaneously to find new correlations between available resources, rather than creating new tools.
The evolution of smart technologies will offer the opportunity to be more competitive, thanks to the digitalization of corporate data, which will drive process innovation, the valorization of big data, the Internet of things, machine learning and methods of predicting productions.
In the tanning area, the appearance of new equipment that considers sustainable processes and greater energy savings is expected, with better precision and quality of its mechanical operations.
Most of the technological proposal of the Italian manufacturers of machinery contemplates the issue of sustainability as a priority.
Based on a policy designed by ASSOMAC, the entity that brings them together, with the control of international organizations, the associated industrialists are part of the “Green Label” program, which promotes respect for the environment at all stages of production.
According to the directors of the organization, direct and indirect relationships with global brands dictate new rules on multiple issues of sustainability, traceability and transparency in the use of polluting resources and products. To this demand, Italian technology must respond with machinery that complies with sustainable production protocols, and that generate a proactive circular economy mentality.
Under the motto "Supplier of Sustainable Technologies", ASSOMAC through its "Green Label" proposal, carries out an intense campaign of dissemination among its associates, and in the international market.
