Through a communication distributed on July 7, the organization FRANCAL FEIRAS and ABLAC, the Brazilian association of merchants, informed the sector in general that the edition of FRANCAL ABLAC Show that had been re-scheduled from September 2 to 4, 2020 in São Paulo, was definitely suspended until 2021.
Among the reasons for the postponement is the decision of July 3 of the São Paulo state government to maintain the ban for holding large events, due to the health situation created by the coronavirus pandemic. The measure also includes all activities that generate crowds of people, at least until October 12, 2020.
According to the organizers of the fair, the holding of the event after that date would not meet the needs of the market, therefore it was definitively postponed to 2021.
Finally, FRANCAL and ABLAC expressed their intention to collaborate with the business development of the sector, for which they will begin to study the feasibility of promoting regional events during the current year in strategic regions that meet the conditions imposed by local governments.
