At the close of this edition of SERMA, the International Exhibition of Leather, Components and Machinery for Footwear and Leather Goods was held at the Alicante Fair Institution which, in its 42nd version, would occupy an exhibition area of more than 13 thousand square meters distributed in hall 2.
The event -organized by the Spanish Association of Components and Machinery for Footwear (AEC)- presented the trends for the Fall/Winter 2021 season, with the presence of 429 firms through 311 exhibitors. Local companies were accompanied by Portuguese, Chinese, Italian, German, Dutch, French, Indian, Turkish and Brazilian exhibitors, which represented 31% of the participants.
During this version of the exhibition, an area of around 2,500 square meters was dedicated to the presentation of machinery.
The space called GREEN PLANET became more relevant in FUTURMODA, supporting the care of the environment through the exhibition of sustainable products. The proposals were varied and included vegetable tanned skins, 100% natural textiles, and water based adhesive devoid of solvents, among others.
For the Experts Forum, several conferences with themes related to the sector were planned. Thus, 8 speakers addressed the Fall/Winter 2020-21 trends; e-commerce; digitalization and automation in the production process; circular economy, etc. In addition, the entity promoting internationalization of companies -ICEX- gave an informative talk about it.
