The 51st edition of the Spanish suppliers fair will take place on Wednesday and Thursday within the 12,000 square meters of the IFA-Fira Alacant events center in Elche. The significance of Alicante as the event's location lies in it being the province that produces 80% of Spain's footwear.
On this occasion, the usual exhibition of hides, skins and tanning; textiles, fabrics, and synthetics; components for footwear; accessories, and chemicals will be accompanied by the display of machinery and technology for the sector.
The showcased proposals correspond to the Spring/Summer 2025 season, advancing one year in the presentation of trends, as planned by the organizing entity of FUTURMODA -the Spanish Association of Footwear Component Companies (AEC)-. The trade fair activity will be complemented by other spaces, such as the Expert Forum and the Trends Salon. A noteworthy area will be FUTURMODA GREEN PLANET, dedicated to sustainable products, whether recycled, free of harmful substances, resource or energy-saving, and/or incorporating technology.
The recent editions of the fair have recorded sustained growth, with participation exceeding 300 exhibitors, representing countries such as France, Portugal, and Italy and showcasing 50,000 products.
Regarding attendance, over 7,000 buyers on average visited the exhibition, mainly from Italy, France, Portugal, and North Africa, as reported by AEC.
The second version of 2024 will be held between Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th, October, to present innovations for Autumn/Winter 2026.
