The International Exhibition of Leather, Materials, Components, and Machinery for Footwear and Leather Goods left significant results to highlight: an innovative and quality offering, satisfied exhibitors, and a good turnout of the public. Overall, it was rated by its organizers as a significant success.
In its 51st edition held on March 13th and 14th, FUTURMODA had the presence of 326 firms, represented by 230 exhibitors, in the 12,500 square meters of the Alicante Trade Fair Institution (IFA).
Trends for Spring/Summer 2025 were showcased by the main local suppliers, as well as foreign ones from Italy, France, Portugal, Türkiye, and Indonesia, among others. 30% of the total exhibitors were of international origin, while local companies accounted for the remaining 70%.
The machinery segment played an important role in an area of around 1,500 square meters with the participation of 28 companies. This was complemented by other themes such as 3D printing, sustainability, additive manufacturing, biomechanics, and robotization.
The Spanish Association of Footwear Component Companies (AEC) estimated that more than 5,000 people visited FUTURMODA, including those from Europe, South America, and North Africa.
The event received the collaboration of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE International), which, through its offices in different parts of the world, managed to capture the interest of more than 12 companies.
The fair was not only an exhibition space, with the addition of machinery, but also included parallel proposals.
This is the case of the Expert Forum, where industry challenges and trends were shared through debates and talks, which attracted a good number of attendees.
Sustainability had its space in FUTURMODA GREEN PLANET, in which 30% of the exhibitors participated. The exhibition focused on recycled, ecological, and natural materials.
According to the organizers, FUTURMODA will take place between Wednesday 16th, and Thursday 17th, October 2024, with the presentation of trends for Autumn/Winter 2025-2026.
