IFLS+EICI in Bogotá: A key meeting point in Latin America

The first 2026 edition brought together around 400 exhibitors, exceeded 7,000 specialized visitors, and recorded business transactions worth US$ 8.5 million.


With a solid volume of business, the fair left exhibitors and buyers satisfied.

​​Between February 3 and 6, the Corferias event center in Bogotá hosted IFLS+EICI, the trade fair for footwear, leather goods, supplies and technology. During this edition, around 400 exhibitors presented proposals aimed at the 2026/27 season.

Participation included companies from different areas of Colombia, including Norte de Santander, Valle del Cauca, Sucre, Antioquia, Santander, and Cundinamarca, once again positioning the event as a point of articulation for the value chain. iIt also had an impact on international trade relations, highlighting the presence of companies from countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Türkiye.

For its part, the Colombian fair gathered more than 7,000 specialized visitors. According to the Colombian Association of Footwear, Leather and its Manufactured Goods Industrialists (ACICAM), the expansion toward other destinations was reflected in the strong inflow of buyers from the United States, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Curaçao, and Puerto Rico.

In terms of results, the edition generated transactions worth 30.5 billion Colombian pesos, equivalent to US$ 8.5 million, supporting activity in the first half of the year for related industries.

Marcela Caicedo Ríos -Executive President of ACICAM-, stated: “With IFLS+EICI, we seek to energize the footwear, supplies, and leather goods industry. It also allowed us to identify challenges and opportunities to continue strengthening the sector from the Association.”

Parallel agenda expanded sector networking spaces

The program included activities complementary to the trade exhibition. Adding exchange opportunities for visitors linked to the industry, the 360 area hosted collection presentations across five runway shows, which displayed 2026/27 trends.

In addition, 12 talks were held, focused on innovation, sustainability, macroeconomic analysis, capacity building, and logistics.
