IFLS+EICI returned in Colombia with good results

The manufacturers and suppliers fair returned to the face-to-face format, to restart the recovery of the sector.

Without the volumes of pre-pandemic years, the event confirmed its strategic value in the region.

More than 220 exhibitors, manufacturers of footwear, leather goods and clothing, along with suppliers of leather, supplies, components and technology participated in IFLS+EICI, the traditional fair of the Andean region that was held in person at the Corferias premises in Bogotá, from August 3rd to 6th.

Although most of the exhibitors were Colombians from the main producing centers of the country, such as Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Santander and the Valle, companies from Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Italy and Mexico were also present.

Despite the difficult economic situation in the country due to the pandemic, according to the event organizers, sales were achieved that exceeded $ 17 million pesos -more than US $ 4.2 million-, a figure that exceeded initial expectations.

The number of visitors and buyers was also higher than expected. A total of 6,080 people attended the fair out of a previous estimate of 4,000.
