The 45th edition of the International Footwear and Leather Show (IFLS), in conjunction with the 27th version of EICI, will take place between Monday 6th, Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th February 2023, at the Corferias fairgrounds in Bogotá.
The dates correspond to a ratification on the days initially scheduled, following a one-week advance in the calendar (from January 30th to February 2nd). This was decided by the Colombian Association of Footwear, Leather and Manufactures Industries (ACICAM) -organizer of IFLS+EICI- at the end of last December.
The previously established days were put into consideration through the various opinions collected. Given this, it was determined to resume the originally proposed date, with the novelty that the fair will be held in the pavilions of the main entrance of the Arch of the exhibition center, according to the statement signed by the executive president of ACICAM -Jorge Andrés Zuluaga-.
In the first IFLS 2023 edition, the trends for the Autumn/Winter 2023-2024 season will be presented, made up of formal, urban, contemporary, industrial, outdoor and sports footwear for men, women and children, together with leather goods and clothing. Meanwhile, EICI, with exhibiting suppliers, will exhibit raw materials, leather and skins, components, textiles and synthetics, technology and machinery.
The last edition of IFLS+EICI took place in August 2022. Among the results disclosed by the fair organization, the participation of 306 exhibitors stands out, including companies from Mexico, Brazil, Portugal and Italy.
Visitors reached a volume of around 8,500 people, including buyers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, suppliers and designers. In addition, through contacts between buyers and exhibiting companies, business was generated for more than 25 billion Colombian pesos (approx. US$5.2 million).
In the words of Zuluaga, the exhibition left a satisfactory atmosphere and ratified the recomposition of the footwear, leather and leather goods industry, at an economic level.
