IFLS+EICI: Within a recovering market
The second edition of the year will be held from Tuesday to Friday at Corferias exhibition center in Bogotá.
The event, shared between manufacturers and suppliers, will present trends corresponding to the Spring/Summer 2024 season in footwear (formal, contemporary, urban, industrial, outdoor, and children's), as well as leather goods. Suppliers will also showcase components, textiles, synthetics, leather, technology, and machinery.
According to the Colombian Association of Footwear, Leather and their Manufactures Industrialists (ACICAM) -the fair's organizer-, the February edition achieved sales of 31 billion Colombian pesos (approx. US$7 million) and was visited by 10,500 local and foreign buyers, exceeding expectations.
IFLS+EICI had the participation of 337 exhibitors from 9 countries, including locals and from Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey.
In this sense, the executive president of ACICAM -Jorge Andrés Zuluaga-, stated: "This fair is fundamental for the Colombian industry because it becomes the basic center of both commercial and industrial parts; making it the epicenter of the most important sector businesses in Colombia".
