In Brazil: BFSHOW for footwear and INSPIRAMAIS for suppliers

Two major events to be held in São Paulo, amid a growing internationalization process.

BFSHOW. The increase in international buyers and domestic consumption is generating positive expectations for the Brazilian footwear industry.

BFSHOW

From May 19 to 21, 2025, the city of São Paulo will host a new edition of BFSHOW, considered the most important footwear fair in Latin America. The event will take place at the Anhembi District and is promoted by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (ABICALÇADOS) and organized by NürnbergMesse Brasil.

In its fourth edition, the fair will expand its area to 31,900 square meters, 30% more than in May 2024. According to Rico Azeredo –Director of New Business at NürnbergMesse Brasil– the decision to establish São Paulo as its permanent location has contributed to the growth of the event.

The organization expects participation from over 350 Brazilian brands, representing various production hubs and segments. More than 10,000 professionals from Brazil and abroad are expected to attend, with a projection of 1,200 buyers from different continents, particularly from markets such as Argentina, the United States, and Spain, among other European niches.

Boosting the sector

According to ABICALÇADOS executive president Haroldo Ferreira, the fair will be key for sourcing Spring/Summer collections, which account for over 70% of the sector’s annual sales. The event will help boost national production, with a projected 2% growth during the year, even as the global context presents some uncertainty.

The association also highlights that Brazil maintains its position as a global footwear supplier outside Asia, offering quality at competitive prices thanks to the exchange rate.

INSPIRAMAIS

The 32nd edition of INSPIRAMAIS, the largest fashion supplier fair in Latin America, will be held on July 15 and 16, 2025, at the Pro Magno Events Center in São Paulo. The exhibition will be open on the first day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on the second from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., as announced by the organizers.

The choice of city reflects the interest in expanding interaction with various sectors of the industry, in line with the cross-sector nature of the products on display.

“In São Paulo, also because it is Brazil’s main commercial hub, we will welcome buyers from diverse sectors, from pet products to footwear,” stated Silvana Dilly –Superintendent of the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (ASSINTECAL)-.

The products to be showcased were developed based on the concept “Human,” a research project carried out by the ASSINTECAL Design and Research Center, directed by Walter Rodrigues. As a response to the previously addressed theme of exhaustion, the notion of hope will serve as the central thread in the new launches, reflected in materials that incorporate layering, satin finishes, volume and shine, and references to pop culture.

The Brazilian supplier fair typically hosts over 150 exhibiting companies, which present more than one thousand material developments applicable to sectors such as footwear, apparel, upholstery, furniture, and automotive.

The event also includes business opportunities between suppliers and specialized buyers, along with knowledge-sharing spaces.
