INSPIRAMAIS points the ways for the fashion industry

On January 24th and 25th, 2023 at the FIERGS Events Center in Porto Alegre/RS, a new edition of the design, innovation and sustainability fair will be held for the footwear, leather goods, clothing, furniture and jewelry sectors, INSPIRAMAIS. One of the most important and recognized in Latin America, due to the high aesthetic value of the proposal.

On this occasion, the offer will be based on the Primal 2024_I research carried out by the designer Walter Rodrigues, coordinator of the INSPIRAMAIS Design Center. The themes developed are LEGACY and ETHEREAL. The first concept expresses rusticity, return to origins, western and simplicity. The second represents fragility, tactile sensitivity and warmth.

In the first case, materials denote cruelty and simplicity, with great emphasis on western, present in national and international artistic productions. In ETHEREAL, centered on primal instincts, the materials are in tune with the concept of the zeitgeist (spirit of the time), with hypertextures and provocations, by sensations of strength, fetish, lightness or charm. “It is a narrative that seduces the consumer based on the sustainability and beauty of the materials, with the desire to touch and wrap”, explains Walter Rodrigues.

The color chart provides dusty, worn, natural and delicate tones, such as sky gray (light grey), lamb's wool (light beige) and peach wip (neutral pink).

In the following phases of the investigation, the themes are EARTH and BODY. The first highlights aspects of environmental sustainability and care for the planet. In this context, the materials express the concept of biomimetics, with natural bases, called bio-based, where they are produced by living organisms from natural processes, such as fermentation. This concept is completed by symbiosis: harmonious life in common of two different organisms, and bionics: which takes into account the fusion between what is real and what is desired from multiple identities provided by virtual reality and the sophistication of games (creation of avatars). The materials for this segment provide elements of anatomy, textures referring to skins, shine, gumming, fur and weight (without loss of fluidity). Colors are strong tones, such as buckskin and butternut beiges, cherry mahogany (plum), moroccan blue (blue), afterglow (twilight beige), red alert (strong red) and tap shoe (medium beige).

INSPIRAMAIS is an event promoted by ASSINTECAL, the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods, in collaboration with CICB -Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry-; ABIT of Textiles and Apparel; ABIMOVEL of Furniture. The By Brasil Components, Machinery and Chemicals program has the collaboration of the National SEBRAE.

ASSINTECAL works on the consolidation of the supplier sector and its internationalization, as well as fashion research and content. The entity is responsible for an industrial segment that has 3,000 companies.
