The 29th edition of INSPIRAMAIS, the trade show for materials, components, and accessories for the footwear, clothing, furniture, and jewelry industries held from January 23rd to 24th, 2024, at the FIERGS Events Center in Porto Alegre, RS, concluded with a positive balance for the approximately 150 exhibitors. Only in international business, conducted through the Buyer Project, promoted by Brazilian Materials, transactions on-site exceeded US$ 3.5 million and over US$ 12 million in negotiated sales during the event. In total, more than US$ 15.5 million (R$ 76.4 million) in exports were generated by the fair. Over the two days, the fair received a visit 30% higher than the previous edition, attracting over 8,000 people.
Organizers highlighted the international visit of buyers from the main markets of Latin America and Europe, as well as important players from the country's major footwear production hubs.
The general opinion of the exhibitors was that this latest edition had a higher number of qualified visitors, interested in innovation and the diversity of the proposal. Most agree that a significant qualitative leap in the exhibition was reflected. They also emphasized the significant volume of business conducted.
Many visitors came from Latin America, many of them regular customers, and others who were attending the fair for the first time. In all cases, they confirmed the quality, creativity, and up-to-date nature of the materials presented.
The INSPIRAMAIS Buyer Project, carried out through Brazilian Materials, an export support program for the sector promoted by ASSINTECAL (Brazilian suppliers association) in collaboration with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), left widespread satisfaction among all participants. In this edition, the project welcomed 22 international groups from Argentina, Colombia, the United States, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic, together producing more than 20 million pairs of shoes per year.
INSPIRAMAIS is organized by ASSINTECAL, in collaboration with the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT), and the Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association (ABIMÓVEL).
