The 102nd edition of the Italian fair dedicated to leather, hides, synthetics, textiles, components, and accessories took place from September 19th to 21st at the Fieramilano Rho exhibition center. There, companies related to the fashion, design, and luxury industry showcased their proposals for the Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 season.
Considered "formidable" by its organizers, this version of LINEAPELLE established itself as a reference guide in the global context, marked by limitations in shaping business and production initiatives within a widespread economic downturn. In this sense, the exhibition served as a gateway to network with industry stakeholders and allowed for a qualitative comparison of the exhibition offerings.
The event was themed "#DOYOUTHINKYELLOW" and was developed under the concept of Metamorphosis, detailing the Winter 2024-2025 season with a vision towards the future, blending hyper-technical research with naturalness.
Creativity was driven by sustainability and research, while materials were assessed in terms of both low and high technology. Solutions based on circularity and no-waste were included.
Over the course of three days, 1,330 exhibiting companies participated. "All the exhibition sectors at LINEAPELLE 102, showed remarkable vitality. Creativity and the ability to involve and stimulate the various operators were the strong points of a show whose international leadership cannot be questioned and is even stronger after this edition", said Gianni Russo, the fair's president.
Attendance, on the other hand, increased by 25% compared to September 2022. The presence of Italian professionals rose by 26%, while attendees from 109 countries outside Italy increased by 22%.
Among international visitors, those from France stood out, although the return of Asians, including the Chinese, South Koreans, and Japanese, was also noted.
More than 28,000 visitors were counted simultaneously between LINEAPELLE and SIMAC TANNING TECH, the exhibition dedicated to machinery and technology for the footwear, tanning, and leather goods industries.
Concurrently, hides and skins took center stage in the five fashion shows held during the event, while responsible innovation was the central topic of discussions and presentations within the framework of Science Based Fashion Talks. Over 30 renowned speakers addressed the theme to achieve sustainable, creative, and innovative supply chains.
As announced by the organizers, the trends for the Spring/Summer 2025 season will be presented in the 103rd edition of LINEAPELLE, to be held on Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st, and Thursday 22nd, February 2024, at the Fieramilano Rho exhibition center.
