In February 2022, MICAM MILANO will be the world center of footwear

To confirm its leadership as the largest international fashion and business platform in the sector.


​The fair will reissue its latest success from last September, with a significant presence of international exhibitors and visitors.
MICAM Milano will celebrate its 93rd edition between Sunday 20th, Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd February 2022 at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center.

The international footwear fair will be made up, mostly by Italian exhibitors, accompanied by colleagues from different parts of the world, especially from Europe, such as Spanish, Portuguese and French. It will primarily focus on innovative, high-quality and designer products corresponding to the Autumn/Winter 2022-2023 trends aimed at the women's, men's and children's segments. They will be exhibited mainly in the Contemporary and Premium areas, which will occupy the largest exhibition area of the fairgrounds.

Among the complementary activities, Emerging Designers will once again have a space within the event. This initiative aims to promote young talents from different parts of the world, through the exhibition of their proposals..

Additionally, MICAM X will offer workshops and seminars to address the latest insights on styles, sustainability, market trends, new materials research, and the future of retail. In this area, knowledge and ideas can be shared.

​In search of enhancing the fair

From ASSOCALZATURIFICI -national association that brings together Italian footwear manufacturers, which is also the event organizer- they announced that they are taking advantage of the momentum of the good results achieved in the previous version of September 2021, which put an end to the stoppage at the level fair because of the health crisis.

“We are already working to provide everyone who operates in the footwear industry with a February edition that is even bigger and better in terms of product offering and training opportunities, to ensure that we return to pre-covid levels as soon as possible”, assured the president of MICAM Milano and ASSOCALZATURIFICI -Siro Badon-, according to what was released in a statement.

In this sense, last September 735 exhibiting firms participated, which had the visit of 22,274 people. Figures include MICAM Milano; the leather goods and accessories exhibition -MIPEL- and the Haut-à-Porter exhibition -THE ONE MILANO SPECIAL FEATURED BY MICAM-.
To the positive results obtained in the number of exhibitors and visitors, the organizers highlighted the benefits of the live format, which allowed buyers direct contact with the products, promoting greater orders, thanks to the personalized relationship, made possible by the return to the physical format of the event.

New communication and image campaign: "Glamorous Magic"


It has been created for the next edition and is part of the #micamtales project, which deals with the second chapter, where a magical and enchanted light dresses the protagonist with wonderful crystal shoes with diamonds for the big dance. It is a tribute to the world of creativity without limits, which has the power to dream and promote what is "beautiful and well done".

The MICAM MILANO organization reported that, for the second half of 2022, the event will take place between Sunday 18th, Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st September, thus returning to the four days of celebration.
