The Italian footwear fair -MICAM- will celebrate its 89th edition along four days, which will take place between Sunday 16, Monday 17, Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 February, 2020. The Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center in the city of Milan will host the event, where proposals for the Fall/Winter 2020-2021 season will be exhibited.
The exhibition is organized by ASSOCALZATURIFICI -an entity that brings together Italian footwear manufacturers- and it defined as a space where fashion and business complement each other.
The exhibited collections include various typologies of footwear for men, women, children and unisex, as well as other leather goods in the MIPEL space, dedicated to handbags, belts, bags, and leather goods in general.
The largest call for exhibitors, according to the area occupied in the fairgrounds, focuses on the COMTEMPORARY and LUXURY sectors, with footwear with design and high fashion of medium high level, and high level respectively.In each edition of MICAM about 60 thousand square meters are arranged, with an exhibition offer that is around 1,700 footwear collections.
1,400 companies represented by manufacturers and distributors in the sector participate. They come from 30 countries, of which more than half are of Italian origin, and the remaining 46% belong to international exhibitors. Among them, delegations of Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Turkey, France, United Kingdom and others stand out.
From a total of approximately 45 thousand visitors to MICAM, half is of local origin: Italy, and the rest comes from 130 countries.
As a complement, and throughout the seven pavilions that the fair occupies in each edition, various spaces with a differentiated proposal are included. Among them, Fashion Square, Fun Square, Style Square, Ikids Square and Man Square with activities related to fashion, recreational and artistic.
The subsequent edition of MICAM will take place between Sunday 20, Monday 21, Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 September, 2020, with the presentation of the collections corresponding to the Spring/Summer season.Some of the models that were seen in the last edition of MICAM last September, destined for Spring-Summer in Northern Hemisphere (March-September 2020) and Spring-Summer, South Hemisphere (September 2020-March 2021).
