In September, the global footwear industry converges at MICAM
In this regard, the Italian footwear fair will take place from Sunday 17th to Wednesday 20th, September 2023, sharing days with the leather goods and accessories show -MIPEL- and the dedicated clothing event -TheOneMilano-. Prior to that, HOMI FashionandJewels will be held, an exhibition focused on jewelry, clothing, and accessories.
Thus, the entire fashion industry will gather in one place, the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center, including the supplier fairs, which will take place from Tuesday 19th, to Thursday 21st, September: LINEAPELLE, focused on hides and skins, components, accessories, and materials; and SIMAC TANNING TECH, which will showcase the latest innovations in machinery and technology for footwear, manufactured goods, and tanneries.
In addition to being part of a comprehensive offering, MICAM MILANO will be a space to discover footwear trends for the Spring/Summer 2024 season, primarily showcased in collections featuring innovation, quality, and design. Thus, in an exhibition space spanning 6 pavilions, proposals from the CONTEMPORARY, PREMIUM, and EVERYDAY sectors will prevail.
The exhibition will complement the product showcase, along with a varied program of activities of interest to the sector. This will include MICAM X, a series of workshops and presentations focused on topics such as art, fashion, heritage, and the future; sustainability; the future of retail; and trends and materials.
Furthermore, the fair will dedicate space to EMERGING DESIGNERS, aiming to provide new designers from around the world with the opportunity to present their latest creations.
Prior to September, ASSOCALZATURIFICI carried out a series of visits to other markets. In this aspect, the association that brings together Italian footwear manufacturers and also organizes the fair was present with MICAM MILANO in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Johannesburg (South Africa), Paris (France), and Warsaw (Poland).
The markets had the opportunity to learn about the fair's offerings, the state of the footwear industry in Italy, trends for the upcoming season, and the Emerging Designers exhibition, thanks to the support of the Italian Trade Agency, an entity that promotes business abroad and encourages investments in the country.
Meanwhile, the footwear entity has already defined and announced the calendar for the next year. Thus, trends for Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 will be presented between February 18th and 21st, 2024; while the 98th edition will take place between September 15th and 18th, 2024.
