MICAM MILANO will reach a historic milestone in September 2025, when it holds its 100th edition. The event will take place from September 7 to 9 at Fieramilano (Rho), Italy, with daily sessions running from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
On this occasion, national and international buyers will have the opportunity to explore more than one thousand footwear collections from exhibitors worldwide, previewing new fashion and design concepts for the Spring-Summer 2026 season.
Giovanna Ceolini, President of MICAM and ASSOCALZATURIFICI, highlighted that a renewed program will include trend talks, fashion shows, and spaces dedicated to retail technology. She also emphasized the role of young designers, who will bring a distinctive perspective by combining innovation with aesthetics.
“MICAM 100 will be an extraordinary opportunity to celebrate the culture of shoemaking,” Ceolini affirmed.
Under the theme Game Changers, the fair seeks to highlight the role of those driving transformation within the footwear industry. This year’s institutional campaign is dedicated to professionals who combine artisanal tradition with innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge design. These are manufacturers who, by applying new techniques and materials, continually shape the evolution of footwear season after season.
With this focus, MICAM MILANO reaffirms its role as an international platform for those envisioning the future of the sector with resilience, adaptability, and determination.
The Italian footwear exhibition, one of the most important international events in the sector, brings together a wide variety of brands showcasing collections for women, men, and children. The fair combines commercial opportunities with continuous updates in technology and style, organizing its offer into three main categories: high-end, everyday wear, and contemporary proposals.
In 2025, ASSOCALZATURIFICI -the entity representing Italian footwear producers and the organizer of the event- will celebrate eight decades of history. This anniversary coincides with MICAM MILANO’s 100th edition, adding symbolic value to the gathering.
The 100th edition of MICAM MILANO will also feature the launch of MICAM Next, an evolution of the former MICAM X area, developed by Wired Italia. This initiative is designed to analyze the changes reshaping the footwear industry, integrating topics such as artificial intelligence, technology, sustainability, and design.
The program will include a series of seminars centered on innovation, aiming to provide strategic insights and concrete references for designers, brands, and buyers. Through seminars, talks, and debate sessions, the event will address ongoing transformations and the challenges the industry will face in the coming years.
Key topics will include e-commerce and omnichannel strategies, footwear personalization, the development of technological and sports models, and references to artificial intelligence.
In parallel, the fair will present buyer guides for Spring-Summer 2026, fashion shows by Emerging Designers, and proposals related to sustainability and seasonal fashion.
MICAM Next will serve as a reference point for those seeking to understand and guide market changes.
