The 97th edition of the Italian footwear fair will take place from Sunday 18th to Wednesday 21st, February, 2024, at the Fieramilano (Rho) exhibition center in the city of Milan.
MICAM MILANO will share dates and location with three other fashion and industry-related fairs: MIPEL, for leather goods and accessories; TheOneMilano, dedicated to clothing; and Milano Fashion and Jewels, focused on clothing, jewelry, and accessories.
Additionally, it will create synergies with the supply sector, due to the realization of LINEAPELLE between February 20th and 22nd, where trends in leather, synthetic materials, fabrics, accessories, and components will be presented.
As in each edition of the fair, it is expected that over a thousand international brands will showcase proposals for the Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 season, including women's, men's, and children's footwear.
In the event's layout, which occupies six pavilions of exhibition space, the Contemporary category predominates, followed by the Premium sector and an area reserved for Everyday.
For visitors, the forecasts of ASSOCALZATURIFICI -the organization that brings together Italian footwear manufacturers and organizes the fair- aim to exceed 42 thousand people, in addition to the presence of more than 300 media representatives. The attendance will mainly consist of retail traders, as well as wholesalers, importers, and buyer groups, both domestic and international.
Thus, MICAM MILANO is a space for the public not only to explore trends and collections but also to learn about new technologies and innovations in footwear evolution.
The organization offers various initiatives that complement the exhibition offering, such as 20 workshops that are part of the program.
Innovation is presented through MICAM X, a space structured under four concepts. Art, Fashion, Heritage, and Future is a place of inspiration and to learn about the origin of beauty later reflected in products.
Another category is Sustainability, which provides information on environmental care; while Trends and Materials present studies and seminars on future trends. Additionally, The Future of Retail addresses new market strategies to implement in a changing environment.
MICAM X also hosts Emerging Designers, where 12 footwear designers from different countries exhibit their most innovative creations.
The interest of international buyers in the four finished product fairs held together in Milan has led to a year-on-year increase of 21% in attendance, according to September 2023 data, totaling 42,273 visitors. Representation reached 129 countries, with notable participation from France, Spain, and Germany, as well as China and the United States.
The second edition of MICAM MILANO will take place from Sunday 15th to Wednesday 18th, September 2024, anticipating the Spring/Summer 2025 season.
